Carb Helper Bread is back! I was very surprised to come across this last week in my local grocery store. I thought it had been discontinued in 2005, and indeed, perhaps they have only recently brought it back, to my delight. This bread has a wonderful texture, and with only four net carbs per slice and five full grams of protein, I can actually make a sandwich using TWO slices instead of just one. Better yet, I paid only $1.50 for this loaf. "Happy days!"
King Soopers and City Market stores are common in the Midwest and Southwest. Because the bread is produced in Ohio, however, I feel quite sure that it can be found over most of the United States, under one name or another. I suggest you ask your local grocery store about it, and provide the distributor name below.
I give this bread two thumbs up, and and hope I can continue to find it for years to come.
